Cheat Food:

Definitely Chinese, I love Noodles. I like it with less oil and without Ajinomoto. It has got a lot of veggies, and my fibre intake is taken care of. Yes, there is cheating with Noodles, but it serves my purpose

Favourite Exercise:

Has to be Sprinting. I was a National Champion in Skating back in school and college. So you know that skating is basically sprinting on skates. The kind of euphoria it gives me is beyond words to explain

The purpose of exercise for you is:

Staying fit and being on the go. The person who exercises regularly can do any work and also he has a really good look

Fruit or juices:

I like both. But fruits are better to have as the fibre content is good for the digestive system

Stairs or lift:

Stairs, as my house is on the second floor. So I don’t have to climb much (laughs). But on a serious note, if your knees are good and your outfit is good enough, it is better to take the stairs. Taking the stairs gives you a good cardio workout. Your legs feel good and your body is also in good shape

Your best morning routine will comprise of:

Basically my morning routine is very simple. I get up at 5.30 to 6 am, I freshen up, have my black coffee and multivitamins. I have half an apple or a banana. I go to the gym and do cardio for half an hour followed by a workout for an hour. Post that, I have a good brunch. This has been my morning routine for 20 years now. I don’t think I will ever change it. My secret to great health and great physique is this

Your favourite lockdown exercise:

I exercised a lot during the lockdown. I went to the terrace of my building to work out. I did not have equipment as such. There was a bar on which I used to hang and do 100-150 pullups. This was my favourite during lockdown. It looked good cinematically, and I made a lot of videos too

Yoga Or Weights:

That’s a very difficult question. I like Yoga a lot as it helps in keeping me flexible. Yoga is a lot of fun for me. Weights are like my stress buster and takes out all the negative energy in me.

Walking or Jogging:

Jogging works for me. Walking is a waste of time and energy is what I feel. You sweat a lot when you jog, it removes all toxins from your body

Your take on health supplements:

It’s very simple. I am a Vegetarian, so I can’t even take many supplements as it has non-veg in them. I have not taken any supplements for the last three years. I have a simple funda. If I am doing a project that requires me to have a good body, I take the help of supplements. It serves good when you need to have a body transformation in less time. If I take it for say 2-3 months, I give a gap of about 8 months so that it gets removed from my body

Best way to burn calories:

Exercise. If you play any sport that is also awesome to burn calories

Your take on six-pack abs:

If the fat percentage in your body is less, your six-pack abs will be seen. Many say that it is not healthy to have it for a long period. There’s nothing like that. It has nothing to do with health. If the fat percentage in your skin is less, abs will be anyway be seen. We all have abs within. It is not visible because of the fat layers above which get thick owing to your not so great food intake.

Any personal goals in mind with regards to fitness:

I have a lot of them. The most important one that I advocate is that a fit man looks vibrant and young. He feels young from within too. I can give a good fitness competition to an 18 years old boy too. I can run faster than him, and my stamina will be more than him.

One tip for everyday fitness:

I believe if you are fit, you look younger. Good fitness is like a religion for me. I take it very seriously. A fit body is also a fit mind, and that is a fit heart and also a fit soul
