Zendaya, whose full name is Zendaya Maree Stoermer Coleman, was born in Oakland, California, on September 1, 1996. She is an American actor, singer, and dancer who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel for her comedic roles before moving on to more serious roles like Rue Bennett in the HBO series Euphoria, for which she won an Emmy.

Claire Stoermer and Kazembe Ajamu, both educators, gave birth to Zendaya. At a young age, she started dancing with the hip-hop dance group Future Shock Oakland and learning the hula at the Academy of Hawaiian Arts in Oakland, California. She resumed her education by attending the American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco, the Oakland School for the Arts, and the Cal Shakes Conservatory Program in Orinda. While enrolled there, Zendaya participated in numerous theatrical performances, such as Caroline or Change at TheaterWorks in Palo Alto and Once on This Island at the Berkeley Playhouse (both in California). She also performed in the Twelfth Night, As You Like It, and Richard III by William Shakespeare. Additionally, she danced in a Kidz Bop video and performed as a model and in TV advertisements.

Every time, Zendaya nails it. When does she not? She works closely with celebrity stylist Law Roach to perfect each and every dress, so she definitely knows how to make a red carpet debut. She has served some of the most fierce red-carpet looks in recent years without ever turning to trends or expensive designs. Despite experimenting with many high-end designers, color schemes, and shapes, she lacks a clear aesthetic.

Zendaya’s bold look for the spring/summer 2020 season, Tom Ford’s – tough breastplate, generated quite a commotion.

At the 2021 Venice Film Festival’s Dune premiere, Zendaya wore this gorgeous wet-look Balmain leather dress.

At the 2018 Met Gala, Zendaya wore a masterpiece by Versace that was inspired by Joan of Arc.

At the Los Angeles premiere, Zendaya looked gorgeous in a Maison Valentino slip dress. The dress boasts a high leg split and a plunging neckline. If you look closely, you’ll see that the garment is entirely covered in an incredible black spiderweb pattern, which makes it both perfectly in character and a sentimental nod to their relationship.
