On Kareena Kapoor Khan’s talk-show What Women Want, the hostess invited her husband Saif Ali Khan as a Valentine’s Day special. True to his nature, Saif put his foot in his mouth by opining that one of the mainstays of a successful marriage was, ‘Don’t attack the maid.’
Ahem!
One could see Kareena cringe, as she often does when Saif’s joke crosses the boundary line. There is much to be said about the comfort level between this couple. Kareena admitted on camera that Saif happily looked after their son when she was shooting.
Saif revealed that the best relationship advice he has got about dating a successful career woman came to him from Rani Mukerjee who advised him to treat the partner like a man. Meaning, her work and timings deserve the same respect as his. Solid advice, that. And well done, Rani.
Kareena asked her husband about which couple does he think has ‘aced’ its marriage. Saif very affectionately mentioned Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma in whom Saif saw a reflection of his own parents’ cricket-actress marriage.
And what a marriage that was!
