K-Pop, as we all know is a type of popular music that has its roots in the land of South Korea. Although K-Pop as a genre has been there ever since the ’80s, it gained prominence and worldwide fame only in the late 2000s. The best thing about K-pop music is its unique ability to experiment with different styles and genres of music across different borders, the integration of which helps to popularize contemporary music scene in South Korea even more. Some of the most famous K-pop bands and artistes are BTS, Taekhyun, Baekhyun, Taeyeon, Bae Suzy, Jungkook, EXO, Chanyeol, Blackpink, Jennie, & Jisoo.
Among all these names, two groups in particular who have contributed in popularizing the K-Pop culture all around the world immensely are EXO and Blackpink. If Chanyeol and Segun have been in charge of the EXO band, Jennie and Jisoo have had an instrumental role in shaping up the ‘Blink’ culture among their fans.
