TWICE members are known for their candor, and there have been times when they have “spilled the tea” on their management company, JYP Entertainment! Here are three of these instances.

1. The significance of learning a foreign language

During TWICE’s guest visit on SBS’s Legendary Stage, the members were questioned if they took any special classes as trainees. Sana revealed that she and Momo studied Korean for three years.

“Momo and I took Korean classes for around 3 years. When I first came to Korea, I couldn’t speak a word of Korean. Momo and I just said hello whenever people passed by.”

-Sana

Jihyo gave an honest answer when asked if the Korean members took international lessons.

“When I was in middle school, JYP made me get a certification for Chinese.”

— Jihyo

If they wanted to debut, they needed to be certified in foreign languages, according to Nayeon.

“If we didn’t get certified in foreign languages, we couldn’t debut”.

2. They took some interesting classes as trainees.

In an episode of MBC’s Radio Star, MC Kim Gu Ra asked Jihyo, “Has there been any classes that you took at JYP that you just didn’t understand?” Jihyo shared that all trainees took s*x education classes! When Jihyo took these classes, she was quite young and would think to herself, “It is a class that is needed but to learn this at the agency…?”

They also took an information technology lesson to understand how to protect their personal information!

3. When they were trainees, their schedule

TWICE once revealed what their trainee schedule was like, and it was a whirlwind! Their day would start at 9 a.m. when they would clock in, leave their phones, and weigh themselves.

They would stretch at 10 a.m.

Lunch will be served at 12 p.m.

At 1 p.m., vocal lessons would begin.

At 3 p.m., the members would perform individual training.

Dinner would be served at 6 p.m.

At 7 p.m., there will be dance lessons.

They’d study basic JYP Entertainment choreography at 9 p.m.

It would be time to clean up, check their weights, and go home around 10 p.m.

It’s time to “worry about the future!” from 11 p.m. to 9 a.m.
