Young and talented actress Hema Sood, who rose to fame with her role of Shefali in Sony TV’s show Yeh Un Dinon Ki Baat Hai, is currently leaving no stone unturned to entertain her fans as Riya in Sony SAB’s show Dil Diyaan Gallaan.

Dil Diyaan Gallan is the story of three generations with their roots in Punjab. It explores the journey of a family where the first two generations refuse to forgive and forget but are forced to face their past and hopefully heal when the third-generation steps in. In an exclusive interview with IWMBuzz.com, Hema spoke in length about her character, show, challenges, and more:

How has the journey been with the show so far?

It has been absolutely amazing. I was fortunate enough that the production team saw potential in me to play the role of Riya. I am so grateful to the makers and channel for this opportunity. I have learnt a lot so far. Hence, it has been an excellent and very satisfying journey as the show is progressing.

What is the USP of Dil Diyaan Gallaan?

The show is heart-touching and inspiring. I also believe the daily is very relatable. Every household in India can relate to the storyline and characters of the show.

How did you prepare yourself to get into the skin of the character?

It was not difficult for me to grasp the role. As I am from Chandigarh and I know many families suffering from similar problems. So as an actor, it was easy for me to get into the skin of such a character.

How is your equation with your co-stars on the show?

We have bonded really well. It is almost more than one month now we all are working as a family. It has been excellent working with them. Everybody on the set is very co-operative.

When you look back at your journey in the industry, how do you feel about it?

This industry is my second mother. It has given me every amenity of life. Though I miss my home, and my parents, when I am on the sets that loss gets covered.

Any message to your fans and viewers?

I want to urge all my fans and viewers to enjoy the show. I would like to thank them for their support. Keep supporting, keep showing love, and above all stay happy.
