Kumkum Bhagya fame Mugdha Chapekar talks about memories of Navratri

Navratri is a festival of colourful costumes, flavours, rituals and joy. TV actors too celebrate this festival in full swing. With Navratri season on, Mugdha Chapekar who plays the role of Prachi in Zee TV’s Kumkum Bhagya is also in a festive mood.

Talking about the festival and her memories attached to it, she said, “Navratri used to be very special for me as I have a lot of memories of Navratri as a child. Born and brought up in Mumbai, it was a different funfair during Navratri. Back in the days, there used to be various competitions, big events and we used to have a lot of fun. But owing to covid norms and guidelines for noise pollution for the festivities during Navratri, everything has changed a lot.”

She added, “I’m glad that I have those wonderful memories, remembering when I was in school, we used to all dress up in ‘ghagra cholis to celebrate Navratri day in our school where we used to play Garba. Mumbai is the heart of all festivals and that’s why I love the festivities during Ganpati and Navrati, It’s close to my heart. The 9 days of Navratri are so holy, and the aura during these days is pure, beautiful, and divine. So, I’m looking forward to celebrating and pray Navratri; wish you all a very Happy Navratri.”
