Star Plus which is planning a slew of new shows in 2020 has apparently created a limited series slot.
If sources are to be believed, Star mandarins have ear-marked the 8.30 pm slot as the limited series slot. No wonder Gul Khan produced 100 episodes series Yehh Jadu Hai Jinn Ka has been housed here and this will be replaced by new Rajshri Productions show titled Dadi Amma Dadi Jaag Jao starring Sheen Dass and Anagha Bhosle as the lead sisters.
Seema Biswas plays the dadi and other well-known character artists like Khalid Siddiqui, Shilpa Tulaskar, Mohan Joshi complete the casting. And we at IWMBuzz.com have reported about the cast exclusively.
We were also the first to break the news of the Vikram Singh Chauhan and Aditi Sharma show Yehh Jadu Hai Jinn Ka to end on 28 February 2020. Our sources give tentative similar dates regarding launch dates of Dadi Ammi Dadi Jaag Jao.
As per a source, “Jinn might go slightly ahead or beyond the stipulated 100 episodes depending on ratings and completion of new show.”
The Dadi Ammi unit has just completed the opening Indore sched, “It is very good to be part of the limited series with a possibility of Season 2. It has a very good story and every middle class family will identify with,” said an actor on the show who did not want to be named.
“At first this show which was in the work for long was supposed to have come on Star Bharat but now apparently has shifted base to Star Plus.
Khalid Siddiqui last seen in another Star Plus show Mariam Khan Reporting Live says “Dadi Ammi Dadi Jaag Jao will go on air in the month of February and yes it to be will be a limited series.”
He did not have info about it replacing Jinn, which our sources stress it will.
We tried to get in touch with Star Boss Gaurav Banerjee, but could not get through to them till time of filing of this story.
