The episode of Anupamaa starts with Vanraj continuing to humiliate Anuj and Anupamaa. He says Anuj can shamelessly have an open relationship with Anupamaa. Anuj shouts at him. Vanraj challenges Anuj for an arm-wrestling fight. Anuj says they are not teenagers to arm wrestle again and again. He tells Vanraj to stay within his limits. Bapuji and GK tell them both to stop fighting like teenagers in front of everyone. Vanraj tells Anuj he can continue to have affair with Anupamaa but warns him to stay away from his family. Anuj warns Vanraj to leave before he loses his control. Vanraj burns Anuj’s offer letter in havan fire and says his family will not have any relations with Anuj from today and if his and Anupamaa’s acts affect his family, they will regret it a lot. Anupamaa remembering Vanraj’s nasty words walks away.
Back at home, Kavya confronts Vanraj for fighting with Anuj. Baa says he did the right thing. Kavya says enmity with Anuj can put them in financial loss as Anupamaa has taken a loan from him. Anuj looks for Anupamaa and finds her crying in his building basement. Anuj apologises to her. Anupamaa says her life was never peaceful but today because of her, he and GK were also humiliated. Anuj says today he will cross his limits and will break his promise of not interfering in her personal life but her life has become public because of Vanraj. He tells her that apart from Vanraj and Toshu there are other members of her family who love and support her. Tolerating everything in silence is a good quality of a woman but one should not tolerate injustice.
Anuj says family, friends, or ex-husband have no right to insult her. He is not provoking her against family but wants her to get out of that bag and stop tolerating it. Anupamaa asks what should she do. Anuj tells her to fight for her happiness. She is getting only hatred after divorce and doesn’t deserve it. One who hates her will not let her in peace and she should not ruin her peace for them. Anuj says he wants her to breathe freely. She can go away from him but urges her to not go away from her happiness. He offers his kerchief to wipe her tears, Anupamaa leaves. Remembering Anupamaa crying and Vanraj’s taunts, Anuj vents out his anger on a cement bag.
Bapuji apologizes to GK for Vanraj’s horrible act. GK says it is not his mistake that his son didn’t learn any sanskars from his father. He gives an example saying that despite a gardener’s hard effort, a few rogue trees don’t bend. Bhavesh tells Bapuji that they keep tolerating Vanraj’s nonsense for a long time and he is continuing it. He says he will not be quiet if Vanraj troubles Anupamaa. Bapuji leaves with Kinjal and Samar feeling embarrassed with Vanraj’s acts. Anuj continues venting out his anger on the cement bag. Vanraj tears his shirt out of frustration.
