Today’s Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai 2 July episode starts with Dadi laughing after telling Kartik (Mohsin Khan) about Kairav’s cuteness. Kartik told her that she was also adorable and didn’t seem like a thief. He wondered what the little boy had seen in Dadi. Dadi told Kartik that the boy was just like him and reminded his childhood. Kartik thought of Kairav when he heard Dadi talking about him. A goon planned to scare the people of a bomb threat and then loot the place to get money. He asked his aide to start the car and be ready for him. He kept the fake bomb and shouted to scare the people. He shouted about the bomb. The people got scared with this shocking alarm and ran around to escape. Everyone wanted to save their lives first. Dadi told Kartik to take Vedika out with him first. She got away from them because of the crowd.
Kartik asked Vedika to get the car, he would find Dadi and come back. Kairav was with Naira’s (Shivangi Joshi) friend. She fell in trouble and lost Kairav in the crowd. Naira looked for Kairav and got worried. Kairav got scared in the crowd. He looked for his mum. Kartik and Naira didn’t get to see each other, though they were close. Kairav reached the church Father and got safe. Naira fell in trouble when a chandelier fell over her. Kartik watched this and jerked her to save her life. He didn’t see Naira. He went to find Dadi. Vedika got Dadi and told her that Kartik had gone to save her. Naira saw a girl in trouble and saved her. Kartik too got saved from the harm.
He realized that someone unknowingly saved him. Naira witnessed Kartik’s presence. She couldn’t believe that Kartik was in Goa. She wanted to run to Kartik and meet him once. Naira fell weak in the emotional moment. Naira got obstructed by the fire brigade. Naira failed to reach Kartik. Kairav worried for Naira. He wanted her back. Kairav wished to see her soon. Dadi cried for Kartik. She saw Kartik and got a big relief. Kartik consoled Dadi. Naira reached Kairav and consoled him. Kairav told Naira that they should go and meet his dad. Naira didn’t know what to tell Kairav. Dadi felt they should go back to their city. She felt the exhibition wasn’t safe. She told Vedika that though they got a big loss, it was fine as they got saved. Kartik wondered about the people who had put stalls to earn money. Dadi told him that it was good that many lives got saved. Kartik told Dadi that he couldn’t come with her; he had come to Goa for some work. He wanted to meet Kairav’s mum.
He didn’t tell Dadi about Kairav. He tried to make excuses to stay back in Goa. Vedika told him that exhibition was closed now. Kartik thought to message Naira and meet her. Naira got emotionally down and cried while thinking of Kartik. She didn’t know why he had come back in her life when she had held courage to stay away. She missed Kartik a lot. Kartik wanted to clear the misunderstandings with Kairav’s mum. Vedika found him worried and wanted to know what wasbothering him. Kartik tells her about Kairav. He told that he had come to Goa to help the little kid who assumed him to be his dad. Vedika realized that Kartik didn’t come to Goa for her sake.
She didn’t feel upset. She told Kartik that she wasn’t upset, she was happy that he was keeping the friendship and being true to her. She told him that she was happy that he was helping a little kid. She askes him to meet Kairav’s mum and sort the issues. Kartik wantes to meet Kairav’s mum and fixed a meeting. Naira realized that Kartik had come to her, and she couldn’t run more far from him. Kartik looked forward to go to Kairav’s home. Kairav got stubborn and wanted to meet Kairav. Kartik reached Kairav’s house to meet him. He felt some connection with Kairav.
