Today’s Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai 26 August episode starts with Naksh wanting Naira (Shivangi Joshi) to tie him Rakhi. He asked her to tie the Rakhis to make up for no tying for the past five years. He showed the Rakhis he had kept, even when he knew that she was dead. He told that his heart knew that she was alive. He was happy that his hopes had turned true and she had come today to tie the Rakhi to him. He didn’t want to hate her. Bhabhimaa told Naksh that fate had brought her back to them. Naira told Naksh that she had always missed him on Rakshabandhan and called Naksh to hear his voice. Naksh recalled her calls. He forgave her and asked the family to forgive her also. Devyaani asked Naira why she didn’t talk to them, they would have supported her. Naira accepted their anger. The family didn’t want to forgive Naira. They told Naira that she had broken their hearts several times. Naira and Naksh celebrated Rakshabandhan. Naira apologized to the family and went back to the hospital. Goenkas met Kairav at the hospital. Dadi was happy on hearing him talk.
She got emotional. Kairav pleased them by his values. Dadi told Manish that they would take Kairav home. She asked Kairav to decide if he would stay with Naira alone or with Kartik’s family. Kartik and Naira argued further. Naira was upset that Kartik just misunderstood her. Pallavi informed Vedika that Kartik and Naira were very much together because of Kairav. Dadi asked Vedika to know her rights on Kartik. Dadi informed the family that Kairav would come to stay with them. She didn’t care if Naira went away from them. She found Kairav celebrating Janmashtami with Goenkas. Kartik and Naira had a new clash. Dadi wanted to cut off Naira from their lives, the same way Naira had done it five years ago.
