Today’s Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai 5 July episode starts with Naira suppressing her sorrow from her friend, who told her that Kartik was really looking like Kairav’s dad. Her friend praised the bond between Kartik and Kairav. She told Naira that she had seen the same guy at the stall. She asked Naira why she didn’t meet him. She told Naira that the guy was really handsome and caring, he got upset and cried when he left as if he got separated from his real child. Naira asked Kairav to call Kartik and talk to him. He asked Naira to call dad home and ask him to leave his important work since they missed him a lot. Naira hugged him and shed tears. She wanted to decide what to do. She wished that she met Kartik once.
She got dreaming that Kairav and she met Kartik at the hotel. She feared that her dream may turn true, Kartik might really end ties with her and get angry on her fake death lie. Kartik yelled at her for hiding about his child for so long and insulting their relationship. She got scared by this dream. She didn’t want this to happen since this might hurt Kairav’s heart. Naira hugged Kairav. Kartik got restless thinking of Kairav. He thought Kairav would be missing him. Manish told Suwarna that he had been sending money to Naira’s Rishikesh ashram. He felt connected to Naira this way. Suwarna also missed Naira a lot. She felt Naira was always alive for her.
Manish asked her to accept that Naira had left them. She told them that Naira was alive in their hearts. He told her that if Naira was alive, they could have got cute grandchildren. He wished Kartik had a child. Naira stayed disturbed about Kartik. She found a girl crying. The girl told her that her lover had got back, she wasn’t happy as he left her many years back. She told Naira that she had moved on and didn’t want to return to him, but he was threatening of committing suicide if she didn’t accept his love again. She shared her problem with Naira and asked her what could be done in this situation.
She tild Naira that she didn’t want to be back in that relationship, she didn’t want her lover to decide her future. Naira felt the girl’s situation was similar to her situation. She didn’t know what to advice her. Naira’s friend asked the girl to move on and enjoy her life, rather than accepting her lover again. Kartik told Vedika that they would leave in some time for the airport. Naira recalled Kartik’s words and was hurt. She thought she would have returned to Kartik, but he didn’t believe her character.
She felt he didn’t wish to hear her truth and she wasn’t at fault. Kairav asked her to take her to dad. He insisted on her a lot and got stubborn. She asked him to go to school, else he would get late. He wanted to call Kartik once. Kartik sent a message to Kairav. He apologized to Kairav and expressed his feelings for the bonding between them. He mentioned that he was leaving for Udaipur, but he would always be there to help Kairav in need. Naira read his message and turned emotional. Kartik waited for Naira’s reply. Naira didn’t want to be selfish.
She thought to make father-son meet once. She feared that Kartik would snatch Kairav from her knowing Kairav was his son. She asked Kairav to smile now as she was taking him to his dad. She told Kairav that he could meet his dad and come back soon. She didn’t want to meet Kartik because of her fears. Kartik rushed to check out from the hotel and hired a cab. Naira took Kairav to the hotel. Naira learned that Kartik had already left. She thought fate was playing games with her once again. Kairav got upset. Meanwhile, Goenkas recalled the old times and missed Lav and Kush.
Vansh got angry knowing Kartik used to love Lav and Kush so much. Vansh didn’t want to share Kartik’s love with anyone. He tore Lav and Kush’s picture in his insecurity. Gayu made Vansh apologize. Surekha told Gayu that if Kartik got married and have children, Vansh will not be able to deal with them. Vansh loved Kartik a lot. Suwarna was sure that Vansh would change with time. Kairav got upset. Naira cried that she failed to give happiness to Kairav.
Kartik felt a longing for Kairav. He thought of why he didn’t want to go back. Vedika helped him by reminding the insurance work. Kartik got an idea to stay back in Goa for more time. He told Dadi that they would go back to the hotel and leave tomorrow. Kartik got happy and excited to meet Kairav. Akhilesh reached Goa and spotted Naira. He realized that she was alive.
