After a video of a man singing the Mahabharat series’ title song went popular on social media, a Muslim guy has captivated the hearts of Indians. The Muslim man can be viewed singing the show’s renowned opening, “Mahabharat Katha,” with the faultless pronunciation of the shlokas, evoking nostalgia. He even took a breather in the middle, making the sound of a conch being blown, before continuing to sing, “Yadha Yadha Hi Dharamasya…”

Former Indian Chief Election Commissioner Dr. S.Y. Qureshi posted the 1:08 minute video to Twitter with the comment, “Beating the Stereotypes.”

The video has had over 106 thousand views and over a thousand retweets since it was shared. People have praised him for singing the title track brilliantly in the video, which has received a lot of affection on social media. Many people believe that the ‘true fabric of India’ must be preserved, while others pine for simpler times.

P. Chidambaram, a Congress leader, was likewise delighted, calling the performance “awesome and inspiring.” In a tweet, he mocked the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS).

”Seriously this is beautiful, Our real India,” one person said. ”This is the India we’ve known and taught in schools since our childhood,” another person said.
