Her name is probably familiar to most of us. Since her debut as one-quarter of the girl group Miss A, Bae Suzy has been one of South Korea’s top talents. Suzy has starred in blockbuster films such as Vagabond (2019) and Start-Up, in addition to her musical career (2020). The multi-hyphenate is also known for its sophisticated and beautiful style and beauty, the latter of which we’ll be highlighting with her best makeup looks. We’ll also show you how to get these looks at home. Suzy, the face of Lancôme, is seen wearing the Teint Idole Ultra Wear Foundation from the French beauty brand.

Start by applying a modest bit of foundation all over the face to produce the same immaculate base makeup. Then, to build coverage, apply extra foundation and concealer to troublesome areas. Finally, lightly dab away any excess makeup with facial tissue. Korean makeup is more natural, with only a smidgeon of blush. Apply a little blush to the cheeks just below the outer corners of the eyes and sweep towards the temples to mimic Suzy’s apples-like cheeks. Remember that less is more in this situation, so go in lightly. Choose a blush with warm coral tones as well. It’s critical to get your face primed and well-moisturized before applying makeup if you want to create the coveted glass skin effect. Begin the night before with a gentle alpha-hydroxy acid exfoliation (AHAs). On the big day, use a sheet mask and moisturizer to hydrate and moisturize before applying sunscreen, primer, and foundation.

If you don’t have time to complete everything, apply a heavier layer of moisturizer and let it soak in for at least 10 minutes before applying makeup. Finish with a couple of spritzes of a dewy setting spray to complete your look. It’s impossible to go wrong with a bold red lip. However, adding gloss or sparkly lipstick to your pout can make it appear fuller and more beautiful. It can also make chapped lips feel better and make lip creases less visible. If you look attentively, you’ll note that Suzy’s eyeliner starts one-third from the inner corner of her eyes. If you begin drawing the liner from the inner corner, you risk making your eyes appear smaller since it appears clogged. The same concept applies to false eyelashes: focus them on the outer two-thirds of your eyes to make them appear larger and more awake.
