The Hockey World Cup 2023 is finally here and well, we can’t keep calm. Unlike other years, this year, the expectations are really high from team India. Not only is the World Cup happening in our own country, it is also extremely special because Team India have off-late been in good form in the sport. In the recent pant, team India have brought enough glory to the sport and this time too, expectations are high from them.
The opening game was held between India and Spain and guess what ladies and gentlemen? India have had a solid start to the tournament. They have begun their campaign with an impressive 2-0 win against the mighty Spanish aka Spain. The entire team came together really well and it was Amit Rohidas who was adjudged to the man of the match. Soon after that, India and England engaged in a 0-0 game. After that, India played Wales and the final game ended with a score of 4-2. After that, India played against England and that ended in a goalless draw.
As per the latest game between India and New Zealand in Hockey World Cup 2023 is concerned, the ongoing game between India and New Zealand tied at 3-3 in the final quarter. Eventually, India lost the quarter-final opportunity after their loss to New Zealand in penalty shootout.
