Saina Nehwal is the first-historically speaking badminton player from India to secure an Olympic medal. The Indian shuttler made history when she won the bronze award at the London 2012 Games.

The Haryana shuttler began stopping people in their tracks from the get-go in her profession when she won the BWF World Junior Championships in 2008. That very year she showed up in Beijing, yet it was distinctly at London 2012 that she acquired overall notoriety.

Brought into the world on the seventeenth March 1990, Saina Nehwal began playing badminton at eight years old after her family moved from Haryana to Hyderabad. Her introduction into the game was fundamentally in light of the fact that she didn’t have the foggiest idea about the nearby language well and she needed to add the fantasy of her mom, who was a state-level badminton player herself. The Indian shuttler effectively did that by addressing India at the most significant level in 2008 at the Beijing Olympics.
