Abhilasha Jakhar the talented actress who has been part of Choti Sarrdaarni since its inception has moved out of the show prior to the five years leap.

Choti Sarrdaarni saw a huge twist wherein Meher’s brother Jagga (Amal Sehrawat) was murdered and the blame for it falls on Meher.

This kickstarts tension between the Gil and Dhillon family. Post the leap, Amrita the character played by Abhilasha Jahkar was shown dead.

Says Abhilasha, “I certainly miss the show Choti Sarrdaarni and being on the set. It was a very nice big family ambiance for all of us on the show. My moving out of the show was a creative call.”

Amrita and Jagga played a pivotal part in Choti Sarrdaarni and they had an integral role to play in the lives of the protagonist Meher (Nimrit Kaur).

Talking about the journey, Abhilasha explains, “I have been on the show for a long time now. The character of Amrita has given me a lot. I had a pleasant and satisfying journey with Choti Sarrdaarni.”

The twist in the tale of the deaths of Jagga and Amrita came as a shocker for fans. “Yes, we have been getting so many emotional messages ever since the news has come out. It is heart-warming to read these farewell notes. I am happy that my character made a mark and people have loved Amrita.”

Ask her what is she missing the most now and Abhilasha states, “Well, I will miss the cast for sure. It was a new family for me. We had a good bonding. The unit was also very amazing.”

The farewell with the cast remains pending as the lead cast had to fly to Kashmir immediately for the post leap shoot. “Yes, we could not meet up as they had to leave for Kashmir. We will all catch up soon.”
