The Filmy Love Story of Television Sweethearts Asha Negi and Rithvik Dhanjani

The popular TV serial Pavitra Rishta gave us some of the best TV couples, be it on-screen or off-screen. Yes, we are talking about Ankita Lokhande-Sushant Singh Rajput and Rithvik Dhanjani-Asha Negi. These television jodis were an absolute treat to watch with their sizzling chemistry and romance. One might say, the television serial was a magical set where love stories began!

While Ankita and Sushant left many heartbroken when they went their separate ways, Asha Negi and IWMBuzz are still going strong as ever. This adorable couple has been dating for 6 years now and their love journey has a bit of crazy, a bit of laughter and a whole lot of love!

This is where it all began

For those who might not know, Asha and Rithvik first met on the sets of the Zee TV show Pavitra Rishta. So was it a love at first sight? Nah! In fact, they started off only as professional co-stars, slowly graduating to friendship.

You will be surprised to hear Asha’s first impression of Rithvik – ‘I used to think Rithvik was a snob and full of himself’.

This is how it all began

So how did this friendship turn into more? It was Rithvik who first realized he had feelings for Asha. And so he started subtly dropping hints towards Asha hoping she would catch on. Alas! Asha was as oblivious as ever. Even rumors linking them came to surface. And one point, everyone except Asha sensed the obvious. Poor girl!

But Rithvik did not lose hope. One fine day, he invited Asha on-set while he was filming a scene with another female co-star. Lo and Behold! That finally sparked a hint of jealousy within Asha leading to her to realize that she was in love with Rithvik.

Making it official

That revelation led to them to take move forward in their relationship. Although, there were no grand proposals involved from either of them.

“None of us asked the other, ‘will you be there for me?’ or any such romantic line,” said Asha.

It was a natural progression from being friends to partners. They treat each other as best friends who motivate but also tease each other with pranks. An ideal relationship indeed!

Though the relationship was publicly confirmed when they appeared together on the dance reality show ‘Nach Baliye’ and won too!
