Aapki Nazron Ne Samjha the new Star Plus offering is one of the shows that actually open up a new band of programming for the channel. The show has launched at the 6 PM slot which is quite new, considering that it will not see any stiff competition across other channels. Star Plus has some really good concepts in its evening band with Mehndi Hai Rachne Waali airing at the 6.30 PM slot.

Also, this show takes forward the tradition and trend of Star Plus dealing with regional shows and adapting them in Hindi. Aapki Nazron Ne Samjha is the Hindi remake of Star Jalsha’s successful show Sanjher Baati. A nice concept to be brought to the Hindi market, we can say!!

The story dwells into the life of Darsh Rawal, played by Vijayendra Kumeria who is visually impaired, yet is a confident man who believes that his disability cannot hamper him in any way. He has a remarkable sixth sense which has made him a classy photographer. Courtesy of technology, Darsh knows exactly where he is positioned and where he is headed to, with respect to handling his movements. He is so very independent that he does not even need a stick for safety.

We have the orphan girl Nandini (Richa Rathore) who is soft-natured, grounded, and simple. She regards her cow as her parents. She is an orphan who has her elder sister Bansuri. Unfortunately, Nandini is forced to go with her sister after the latter’s marriage, as a house help.

If there is a perfect characterization given to any character, that has to be Rajvee Rawal. Amazing character this, who dotes on her son and only wishes to get him married to a girl who will accept him for what he is. Narayani Shastri is remarkable in this role, and we simply love to see Rajvee and her sensibilities.

The drama has picked up with Rajvee pledging that she will get Darsh married in quick time. She is on the lookout for a suitable girl, and also realizes that Darsh keeps recollecting about a certain girl (Nandini) whose anklet he has in his pocket.

The Rawal household deals with a huge confectionary-making chain in Dwarka. The family is huge with Keshav Rawal (Bharat Pahuja) being the patriarch of the house. There is Rajvee’s husband, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, and Darsh’s brother Shobhit (Abhishek Verma).

The only disappointing angle to Rajvee as a human being is that she is not confident of her other son Shobhit’s capabilities and finds fault with him always, often comparing him to his elder brother Darsh.

The story has been moving at a good pace. Scenes of Darsh and Nandini have been captured well. The equation between Rajvee and Darsh is a delight to watch. The two actors indeed complement each other, with their expressions and actions.

Vijayendra Kumeria as the blind photographer has worked well on the intricate details on portraying a visually impaired man. He is acing it with his expressions.

Richa Rathore can be a bit better in her expressions, is what we feel. Otherwise she suits her role. Also, she can improve on bettering her dialect too.

Narayani Shastri is perfect in her role. It is amazing to see an actress of her experience get such an author-backed role, full of grace and authority.

Other actors are well-cast and are doing their best.

Aapki Nazron Ne Samjha is slotted at a tricky time slot which has no benchmarks set from the past. It is a relatively new slot for the channel, and we hope the channel and makers handle it with patience and ease.

Full House Media helmed by Sonali Jaffar and Amir Jaffar produce the show. With their past experience, we know that they will rely a lot on realistic storytelling.

The cinematography is catchy. The introductory shots of Dwarka captured the very essence of the place.

It will need a strong word of mouth for Aapki Nazron Ne Samjha to grow in the minds of masses. Certainly, the early evening slot is new to the audience, but it also means that the show can make a mark if it is able to deliver in numbers.

We credit the show with 3 out of 5 stars.
