Ileana D’Cruz does not want to flaunt a meticulously groomed version of her body on social media, and she has made it a point to openly discuss body image issues for quite some time. The actress is seen in a red bikini flaunting her curves in her most recent Instagram Stories, and she writes in the caption that she is embracing “every inch, every curve,” and all of herself and that she has already said sayonara to the slimming and toning apps that make people look slimmer in their photos.

The 35-year-old actress stated in her post, “It’s easy to get lured into apps that allow you to easily alter your physique to make you look slimmer, more toned,’ and so on… I’m proud of the fact that I ditched all those apps in favor of this. This is me, and I’m proud of every inch, every curve, and every part of myself.”

This isn’t the first time the actress has openly discussed her difficulties with body image and celebrated her progress toward body positivity. In October 2020, the actress published another monochromatic bikini photo of herself, along with a long list of issues she had previously had with her physical attributes.

D’Cruz had admitted that she was always self-conscious about her appearance. She, like any other normal person, experienced body issues and frequently believed that her hips were too broad or her thighs were too shaky. She did add, though, that she had realized through the years that she was never supposed to be beautiful and that her defects – every scar, every bump – add to her individuality.

The actress added in the post that she stopped striving to adhere to worldly beauty standards after realizing that her faults make her unique. “That’s why I’ve come to a halt. I stopped attempting to fit into the world’s ideas of what constitutes beauty. I’ve given up on trying to fit in. Why should I do that? I was born to stand out,” the 35-year-old wrote.

D’cruz’s open musings on body positivity have connected strongly with her fans in recent years, and the actress has garnered numerous accolades for her posts.
