Lopez’s No. 1 single on the Billboard Hot 100 list in 1999 dethroned Ricky Martin’s unstoppable “Livin’ La Vida Loca.” It was the lead single from her debut album On the 6, which just marked its 20th anniversary, and it spent five weeks at the top of the charts.

This was another smash from Lopez’s debut album, On the 6, and was named one of the finest songs of her career by Entertainment Weekly. Lopez has continued to perform the song throughout her career, even after two decades.
3.”Let’s Get Loud”
This song was supposed to be unleashed by Gloria Estefan, but she handed it on Maria Lopez instead, earning Lopez her second straight Grammy nomination for Best Dance Recording. The music video was shot on location during the FIFA Women’s World Cup in 1999.
4. “Love Don’t Cost a Thing”
Lopez released this song as the lead single from her second studio album, J.Lo when she was still dating Sean “Diddy” Combs. Since the two split up shortly after the film’s premiere, it was assumed that it was about their relationship. “Love Don’t Cost a Thing” spent 21 weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 list, peaking at #3 in February 2001.
