South Korean rapper, singer, and composer Jennie Kim is better known by her stage name, Jennie. Kim was born and raised in South Korea, spent five years of her early education in New Zealand, and then moved back to her own country in 2010. In 2011, “YG Entertainment” hired Kim as a trainee.
She became well-known after appearing in the music video “That XX” by G-Dragon. She subsequently appeared on his track “Black” as well. On August 8, 2016, she made her YG Entertainment debut as a member of the girl group Blackpink alongside Lisa, Jisoo, and Rosé.

Jennie released her first song as a solo artist, “Solo,” in November 2018. The song was a commercial triumph locally and abroad, topping the Gaon Digital Chart.
On January 16, 1996, Jennie Kim was born in Seoul, South Korea. Her parents have only one child. Her family is wealthy, and she was raised there. She visited Australia and New Zealand on vacation with her family when she was eight. Her mother questioned her in New Zealand about whether she wanted to stay and how she liked the country.
