Somi moved to South Korea at the age of one from Ontario, Canada, where she was born in 2001 as Ennik Somi Douma. She was known as Jeon So-mi while she was growing up in Seoul and showed an early interest in singing and performing. Jeon joined JYP Entertainment in 2014 and participated in broadcast music competition shows.

When Somi teamed up a chic silk T-shirt by Junya Watanabe with black patent platform ankle boots by VETEMENTS, she created the coolest bad girl ensemble ever. In this ensemble, Queen Somi looked very stunning in a Patou slogan T-shirt and a chic diamond-check faux-fur coat from Casablanca.
