Seori, a South Korean R&B singer-songwriter, is one of the few performers who gain prominence early in their careers, even before their debut. The 24-year-old artist, born Baek So-hyun, is a rising star in the music industry with burgeoning international popularity. Her journey has been astounding, as she has gone from uploading song covers on YouTube to be one of the singers to watch out for.

She has quickly established herself as a force to be reckoned with, with covers of Khalid’s ‘Talk’ and Abir’s ‘Tango,’ as well as being recognized by DAY6’s Jae, Stray Kids’ 3RACHA, and being on BTS’ Jungkook’s playlist. Seori made her debut with her album ‘?depacseohw’ in May 2020, and she hasn’t looked back since. This year, she collaborated with South Korean powerhouse duo TOMORROW X TOGETHER on the lead single ‘0X1=LOVESONG (I Know I Love You)’ off their The Chaos Chapter: FREEZE album. The popular hybrid pop-rock song depicts a boy’s assurance in his love for ‘you,’ who came to him amid a chaotic environment. The title employs numbers to visually depict that ‘you’ are a zero in this universe.

Seori is forging her own path with her music and art, thanks to her collaboration with 88rising. Her unique voice typically evokes great feelings, and she is a storyteller. After ‘Running Through The Night’ and ‘Lovers In The Night,’ she goes on a new adventure with her third song, ‘The Long Night,’ a video essay in which she talks about escape, love, and some of her innermost thoughts alongside South Korean rapper GiriBoy.

Seori reflects on her one-year journey since her debut, her current track ‘The Long Night’ and what it means in her life, her collaboration with TXT, and being recognized among some of the industry’s top musicians in an interview with Bollywood Hungama.
