Jisoo finally makes her solo debut with the two-song project ME, some seven years after BLACKPINK made their formal entrance. The full album for pop fans all over the world has finally been released after two weeks of teasers, which included two different visual films released on March 15 and March 21, a poster with ME’s tracklist and song credits on March 27, and the high-fashion music video teaser for lead single “Flower” on March 28.

“Flower,” the opening track from ME, is a subtly intense musical ride. Jisoo’s voice is highlighted in the first track’s delicate fusion of violin picking and snappy, trappy sound.

Jisoo lets loose with impassioned runs and emotive warbles on “Flower,” similar to some of her best vocal performances on BLACKPINK albums before the song changes its direction with a pitched-up vocal section that will probably become one of the most memorable earworms of 2023. The second song, “All Eyes on Me,” showcases Jisoo’s appreciation for powerful dance-pop songs, which fans witnessed firsthand when she covered Zedd and the Foxes’ “Clarity” during their In Your Area world tour. In the middle of a pounding synth-pop dance breakdown, Jisoo demands, “Make me feel alive,” before pleading, “All eyes on me.”
