Suga was introduced to MIDI (Musical Instrument Digital Interface) at the age of 13 and from there, his love and passion for music started. He began writing lyrics of the song as well as music on his own. He trained himself to play the piano.

By age of 17, he was working part-time in a recording studio. Very few people know that before starting his training, he was an underground rapper with the name ‘Gloss’. He later started training with his current label ‘Big Hit Entertainment’.
