Selena Gomez, an actress, and singer was born in Grand Prairie, Texas, on July 22, 1992. She is the child of Ricardo Gomez and Mandy Teefey. Her father is Mexican, and her mother has some Italian blood. Selena, a Tejano artist who passed away in 1995, inspired her name.
