Taylor Swift and boyfriend Joe Alwyn have successfully kept their romance private, staying out of the spotlight whether they’re at one of her numerous homes in the United States or his home in London.

Taylor will occasionally share minor tales from their relationship, always being careful not to divulge too much and releasing the majority of her sentiments via her songs.

Taylor and Joe are the subjects of new engagement rumors, with people close to the pair claiming they’re ‘officially engaged.’

But how did Taylor and Joe meet, are they engaged or married, and what do we know about their relationship? Here is a timeline of their relationship.

Joe spoke to The Wall Street Journal in April about his impending part in Conversations With Friends, the television version of the iconic Sally Rooney novel.

The actor said that he is aware of the repeated marriage rumors around him and Taylor, telling the outlet, “If I had a pound for every time I believe I’ve been told I’m engaged, I’d have a lot of pound coins.”

“I mean, the fact is, if the answer was yes, I wouldn’t tell, and if the answer was no, I wouldn’t say,” Alwyn said, refusing to confirm or deny the accusations.

Taylor and Joe’s engagement was confirmed by multiple sources, according to Life & Style, after they spent a romantic weekend away in St Ives, Cornwall, in January.

The couple has yet to confirm the news, but it hasn’t stopped the speculation from circulating online – something Taylor and Joe have faced numerous times in the past, ever since she released her 2019 album ‘Lover,’ which sparked speculation they were set to marry with the lyrics: ‘Ladies and gentlemen, will you please stand? / With every guitar string scar on my hand / I take this magnetic force of a man to be my lover.’

Of course, we won’t believe anything until Tay says so herself!
