Jang Won Young, better known by her stage name Wonyoung, was born on August 31, 2004, and is a South Korean singer, presenter, and model. She belongs to Starship Entertainment’s IVE. Wonyoung, An Yujin, and Cho Ka Hyeon represented Starship Entertainment on the girl group survival reality television series “Produce 48” from June 15 to August 31, 2018. She eventually won and made her debut as the group’s leader with Iz*One. On October 29, 2018, the Off the Record label published the group’s Korean debut extended play (EP), titled “Color*Iz,” with the song “La Vie en Rose” as its title track.

The trio was able to win the New Artist of the Year prize at various award ceremonies, including the Golden Disc Awards and Seoul Music Awards, thanks to the EP’s and its lead single’s quick commercial success. Along with fellow Iz*One member and label mate Yujin, Wonyoung rejoined as a trainee for Starship Entertainment following the group’s dissolution on April 29, 2021. She was introduced as Sunghoon of Enhypen’s new co-host for Music Bank in September 2021.

They would take over for Arin and Soobin as of October 8. Along with Leeteuk, she was appointed as the host for the 2021 Asia Artist Award on December 2. Jang was one of the six members of the new girl group I’ve, which Starship Entertainment unveiled on November 4, 2021. It made its debut on December 1, 2021.
