This Is What Eminem Has To Say About Kendrick Lamar’s New Album

These Are The Opinions Of Eminem Regarding Kendrick Lamar's Most Recent Album.

Eminem praised Kendrick Lamar’s monumental effort after listening to his fifth studio album, “Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers.” Dr. Dre, who has acted as a mentor to both Lamar and Eminem, was mentioned by Em when he posted his opinions on Twitter. Eminem wrote, “This Kendrick record is f****** crazy.” “I can’t speak”.

After sharing the stage with Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, and Mary J. Blige during the Super Bowl LVI halftime show in February, Eminem made these remarks a few months later. Lamar has been outspoken about how Eminem has influenced him creatively. On some of Lamar’s most forceful vocal performances, such as the third verse of the song “Backstreet Freestyle” from 2012’s “Good Kid, M.A.A.D City,” it can be heard.

Lamar expanded on how Eminem’s use of language had influenced him in an interview with GQ back in 2016. “When I was younger, studying Eminem gave me clarity. I was only curious as to how I entered the studio. I loved the song, but it was only out of curiosity,” Lamar admitted to the magazine.

“I was basically thinking, How does it work? The first time I heard The Marshall Mathers LP”. “How is he acting? How is he stringing those phrases together in such a way? What’s the name of that track? An improv? And what is that? Then, why don’t you visit the studio to take a look? I act in that way.”

“The question changed to, ‘How’s his speech piercing the beat like that?’ then. Now that I’m into it, what is he doing that I’m not doing? He keeps perfect time. It’s perfect when he wants to slide off the beat. I had to learn these things the hard way over time and with experience.”

With the exception of the non-album track “The Heart Part 5,” “Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers” was released on Friday, May 13. The follow-up to 2017’s “DAMN.” is an 18-track double album that includes artists such as Taylour Paige, Beth Gibbons of Portishead, Ghostface Killah, Sampha, and Baby Keem.
