Virat Kohli is a superstar in the real sense of the term. The way this young lad from Delhi has grown up to become one of India’s best cricketers ever (if not the best is truly unbelievable and satisfying for every Indian). Given Virat’s current age and statistics, he is ahead of Sachin Tendulkar and if there’s anyone who can probably leave the ‘Little Master’ behind in terms of records, Virat Kohli is the only name. He has had quite an interesting career already and he is immensely respected in world cricket.

But the same Virat Kohli has also been part of some serious and heated on-field altercations which probably could have been avoided. So today, we are here to tell you some of those –

IPL vs Gautam Gambhir – Both Gautam and Virat are fierce cricketers on-field coming from Delhi and once during an IPL match between KKR and RCB, Virat and Gauti had quite a tussle.

Middle Finger gate in Australia – It was the 2014 test series against Australia in Australia and the crowd at SCG was boo’ing Virat and team. That’s when he ended up showing his middle finger to the crowd and as one would assume, the match referee wasn’t really impressed with the act

Vs Mitchell Johnson – Virat Kohli and Mitchell Johnson, fast bowler from Australia love to have a go at each other and once during the test series in 2016, things went out of hand. The on-field spat was quite a memorable one.

Vs James Faulkner – It was the ODI series vs Australia in India in the year 2013 and Australia were all set to lose that match in Rajkot. The frustration got up on Faulkner and he teased Kohli. That’s when things went out of hand and both had a bit of an altercation. Nothing serious though

Last but not the least, the 2015 semifinal world cup game in Australia which India lost. Virat performed poorly in that particular match and his wife Anushka Sharma (then girlfriend) was criticised by Indian fans for the WC debacle. Virat certainly didn’t like it and it was visible from his behaviour whenever he was asked about it.
