Balika Vadhu was Sania Mirza’s preferred television show. So much so that she would look for a website that broadcast the serial wherever she went, even at Wimbledon! Sania mentioned it on her podcast with Neha Dhupia.

“It (Balika Vadhu) was a nice show,” she said. “And my sister would say things like ‘You’re going to sit at Wimbledon and watch this?’ Over the previous few years, I’ve lost interest, but my mother used to watch. As a result, whenever I visited my mother, I had to sit and watch the serial. So, at some point, I became fascinated and said to myself, accha, ab kya ho raha hai. And over the phone, I’d ask questions like, “Mamma uska kya hua Anandi?” Do I strike you as a saas bahu type? However, I am! But that time is past, and I’ve moved on to more interesting stuff like Suits.” According to DNA.

Sania Mirza is currently living a bubble life. She has to quarantine herself for her upcoming matches. Sania played her last match on 7th October along with her partner Zhang Shuai.
