The Indian Premier League is a highly popular professional Twenty-20 league played annually between March and May. The league is known for its exciting twists and turns, particularly regarding the top teams.

With the conclusion of the previous season, the upcoming season is set to begin soon, and the Board of Council has already conducted the auction. Chris Morris (RR) became the most expensive player ever bought at an IPL auction, while Krishnappa Gowtham (CSK) became the most expensive uncapped Indian player at this year’s auction. The Chennai Super Kings acquired Cheteshwar Pujara, and Arjun Tendulkar joined the Mumbai Indians.

Two hundred ninety-two players were registered for the abbreviated auctions – 164 Indian and 125 foreign. With the IPL returning to India after being held in the UAE last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the focus will be on big hitters and slow bowlers.

Chris Morris, the South African all-rounder with right-handed bowling and batting, was sold for Rs. 16.25 crores.

The bowler has been in incredible form lately and was also the third-costliest player in the IPL 2020.
