Indian cricket is currently gearing up big time for the ICC T20 World Cup 2022 that’s all set to begin next month. What makes this World Cup all the way more important is that for the past 9 years, India has not won a single ICC tournament. Add to that, Indian cricket team is currently in red hot form under Rohit Sharma’s leadership after the dominating T20 series win against Australia and South Africa and that’s what makes it all the way more special for fans.

Earlier, the squad for the tournament was announced and Jasprit Bumrah was a part of the squad. However, after his injury, there was a cloud of uncertainty as to who will replace Bumrah in the all-important tournament. Well, now, we finally have an update.

As per ICC and official media reports, Mohammad Shami is all set to replace Jasprit Bumrah as the spearhead of the Indian bowling attack for the tournament. We wish Mohammad Shami all the very best for this going forward.
