Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) registered its first victory of IPL 2020 season by defeating the formidable Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH).
Batting first in match 8, SRH scored a decent total of 142/4. After a brisk start by D Warner (36), Manish Pandey’s 51 helped SRH reach the total.
In chase, KKR looked in solid control from the beginning. Opening batsman Shubman Gill scored a stylish 70 to steady the ship.
He was ably supported by the very talented E Morgan (46) and the two helped KKR cross the finishing line with two overs remaining.
KKR won by 7 wickets.
