Making a comeback is never easy, and that too in the field of wrestling especially after you had just delivered a baby. Geeta Phogat who had just delivered a baby in the latter half of 2019 had to shed a lot of kilos to be able to get back to wrestling and continue following her passion. Following pregnancy, a woman’s body undergoes major changes, and gaining weight is just a part of it. But what is more challenging is getting back in shape and in a very short period also keeping in mind that it is kind of mandatory for a sportsperson.

Geeta Phogat lost almost 35 kilos for her to be able to participate in a wrestling championship. Talking about Geeta’s fitness journey her doctor shared on her social media a few details related to that. Dr. Ria shared how Geeta has managed to get back in shape with “even more energy”. “Yes, motherhood made her stronger, and look at her beautiful transformation. Geeta Phogat, my rockstar needs no introduction at all,” she said.

After the much-required training and correct nutrition, Geeta was able to make a comeback with a bang by winning a Silver medal at The Senior National Wrestling at Gonda. Geeta is the first female wrestler in India to win a Gold medal at the Commonwealth Games in 2010.
