Manoj Tiwary and Ashoke Dinda were two of the most promising cricketers of the Indian team. They have managed to be a part of the Indian main squad which is the most honorable moment for most of the cricketers. However, these cricketers have successfully entered into politics which is a more tough job than it seems. Manoj Tiwary has now successfully been elected as the Junior minister of youth services and sports in West Bengal. Another familiar name in cricket Laxmi Ratan Shukla was Manoj Tiwary’s predecessor. “Cricket doesn’t prepare you for a day that starts at 6 am and ends after 1 am,” as said by Manoj Tiwary.

In the recent election held in early May, Tiwary won Shibpur which is located near Kolkata. In the campaign, he had to meet around 2 lakh people. A large village to the southwest of the Capital named “Moyna” elected Ashoke Dinda who is a former Indian cricketer as well as a teammate of Manoj Tiwary.

35 years old Tiwary took part in the Trinamool Congress party contest (TMC), Ashoke Dinda was a candidate for (BJP) Bhartiya Janata Party which holds the Indian Central government power.

Tiwary and Dinda share the same sprawling complex behind ITC Shonar hotel in Kolkata, a place for the rich and famous just like these two hard workers who have labored their way through it.
