Tyagi made the remark after Bumrah praised his play in an Indian Premier League (IPL) match against Punjab Kings. On Tuesday, the Rajasthan Royals defeated the Punjab Kings by two runs at the Dubai International Stadium. With a target of 186 to chase, PK got off to a flying start, with openers KL Rahul and Mayank Agarwal putting up 120 runs for the first wicket. Rajasthan, on the other hand, was able to make a comeback and win the game. Kartik Tyagi was named Man of the Match after returning with two wickets. Tyagi bowled six beautiful yorkers in the penultimate over, allowing him to defend four runs. In the final over of the game, he only gave up one run and captured two wickets.

Jasprit Bumrah wrote on Twitter: “What a cliffhanger, #KartikTyagi! It takes a lot of courage to keep a level head under pressure and get the job done, but you did it!”

“That tweet held a particular place in my heart. When I travelled to Australia, it was a huge deal for me because I didn’t go to Jasprit bhaiya because I was too nervous to speak. But he approached me, liked me, and began telling me stuff,” Kartik Tyagi stated the following.

“When I learned that Jasprit had tweeted about me, I decided to retweet it myself. He is currently the best in the world and my hero, therefore it feels great if he tweets about me.”

“When I heard that Jasprit had tweeted about me, I thought I would personally retweet that. He is the world’s best right now and my hero, so if he tweets about me, it feels really good.”

Tyagi also revealed that in the penultimate over against Punjab Kings, he was considering delivering six yorkers. The 20-year-old remarked of the Royals’ upcoming match against the Delhi Capitals: “All of the teams are strong, not just DC. We should merely go through the motions because the outcome is out of our control.”
