Sania Nehwal who has been dominating the Badminton sports in India retires after her match on March 17th at The England Open Badminton Championship. She played her last match against Denmark player Mia Blichfeldt.

The Olympic medalist has shocked all her fans with her retirement from the sports, but the Indian fans can never forget what she has done for the country. She lost her last game with the scores 21-8, 10-4.

She never failed to surprise the fans with her amazing winning streaks. She has also been the former No.1 player winning over 24 international titles including eleven titles of the Superseries. She became the first female Indian player to be ranked 1. Saina Nehwal has booked her name in the history book being the best female badminton player.

There are enough trophies to prove what kind of badminton player Saina was, she has been the pride of India. She has represented India in the Olympics 3 times and has won a bronze medal in her second appearance. Saina Nehwal’s autobiography which is going to be released in March has Parineeti Chopra who is going to feature as Saina. The teaser which is released on Youtube has got positive responses

Saina Nehwal for her performance has been awarded the “Arjuna Award” in the year 2009 after the 2008 Olympics. She also received the “Rajiv Khel Ratna Award” in the same year. After a year in 2010, she was honoured with India’s highest privileged award “Padma Shri” Award.
