Mahendra Singh Dhoni, the famous Indian captain, needs no introduction. Despite declaring his retirement from international cricket last year, Dhoni remains an inspiration for countless cricketers around the world. On his comedy show, Indian comedian Kapil Sharma remembered an amusing episode in which his mother failed to recognize the Ranchi celebrity.

Cricketers Rahul Tewatia, Ravi Bishnoi, Nitish Rana, and Axar Patel were guests on one of the programs, where Sharma delivered the amusing incident.

“In London, an auction was held for Yuvraj Singh’s foundation, You We Can. I had received an invitation and had accompanied my mother to the event. The banquet hall where the auction was placed was a little dim. My mum was seated alongside Yuvraj Singh’s mother. The Indian cricket team as a whole arrived. I introduced myself to Dhoni and informed him that my mother had also arrived. After that, he proceeded to touch my mother’s feet, and after she gave him her blessings, she asked, “Beta kya naam hai tumhara?”

Sharma went on to say that his mother, who isn’t familiar with cricket, didn’t recognize Sachin Tendulkar when he touched her foot as well.

“After that, Sachin Tendulkar came and touched my mother’s feet, and my mother exclaimed, ‘God bless you,'” she added. Then I told my mother that Tendulkar had arrived to meet her, and she said, “I see, where is he?” Then I told her that he had just placed his hand on her feet.

Tewatia, who has had a number of memorable innings with the Rajasthan Royals in the IPL, stated his batting inspiration is Yuvraj Singh. “Yuvraj Singh was one of my favorite actors to watch. In terms of batting, he was my idol. He was a stroke player, and I enjoyed attacking cricket as well. I used to watch a lot of Shane Warne videos while bowling. I never got nearly as much airtime as he did, but he was my hero,” Tewatia explained. As per Times now news.
