In the International Test Championship final, India and New Zealand, two of the most powerful sides in world cricket, have shown tremendous tenacity and drive over the course of six days.

The Indian team was defeated by New Zealand by eight wickets at the Ageas Bowl in Southampton after many ebbs and flows throughout the game.

The World Test Championship has been known for producing nail-biting matches, and the summit showdown was no exception. In the late hour of the reserve day, the globe beheld its first champion after six thrilling days of cricket between two of the most consistent sides on the international stage.

1) Replace Shubman Gill with KL Rahul

Since the entrance of Shubman Gill, one of the most important members of the Indian white-ball team, KL Rahul, has been in and out of the Indian team. Gill, on the other hand, failed to get going in the home series against England after a good Down Under tour.

2) Add Ravindra Jadeja in the playing 11 instead of Hanuman Vihari

The Indian team’s batting lineup has failed to score runs away from home. The Indian middle-order buckled under strain in the summit showdown against New Zealand, culminating in a below-par total in both innings.

Ravindra Jadeja’s all-around ability and recent performances for the Indian team in the longest version of the game are without question. With the circumstances favoring the quick bowlers, India will make changes to their lineup.

3) Add in Mohammad Siraj in place of Ishant Sharma

The Indian squad struggled in the recent World Test Championship final due to the lack of a great swing bowler in the playing XI.

While Bhuvneshwar Kumar is with the white ball team in Sri Lanka for a series, Mohammed Siraj may be an excellent option for Ishant Sharma.

Ishant, who has played in over 100 Tests, has previously struggled with consistency in his line and length. While much was anticipated of him in the final, he was unable to make any inroads into the opposition’s batting line-up.

Ishant is more of a seam bowler than a swing bowler, which is one of the main reasons for his lackluster performance.
