Sania Mirza has been taken out of the Qatar Open in the semi-finals after she and her Slovenian accomplice Andreja Klepac went down battling to second seeds Nicole Melichar (US) and Demi Schuurs (The Netherlands). The hard-battled coordinate, spreading over one hour and 28 minutes, saw the scoreboard end at 5-7, 6-2, and 5-10. Nicole and Demi are positioned eleventh and twelfth, separately. After losing the first game, they won the second game with a difference of 4 sets difference. After the tiebreaker, the last game was won by the opponents of 5-10, they lost their game after the tie break.

Sania has not been competing in the tournaments as she was facing injury, the Qatar Open was her first tournament and her only chance since February 2020, Covid stopped all the sports activity and it prevented Sania from playing on the fields.

Sania Mirza was tested positive for the COVID virus in January 2021 therefore, she could compete in the Australian Open tournament which was due in February 2021. The two of them will be splitting 10,000 US Dollars price after earning 185 points each.

Sania as we all know is a doubles champ, she has won 6 of her grand slam titles in her vocation. She retired from her singles due to her wrist injury in the year 2013. She is India’s number 1 tennis player. She has also played with the famous Indian tennis player Leander Paes. We are uncertain about her return to the tennis fields as she has shown recent injuries.
