Steve Smith and Virat Kohli are best friends off the ground and even on the ground. We have seen them being good friends. Once when the audience were booing Steve, Virat stood up for him and asked them to cheer for him instead. It was when then that their friendship became even better.

Before India vs Australia test, Virat and Steve interviewed each other and talked about some experiences and moments of their cricketing life. The first question that Steve read for Virat was, “Do you remember your first cricket memory and can you tell us what it is?” Virat shared an emotional yet loving answer to this question. His first cricket moment was when he started playing cricket with his dad. His father would bowl for him and he would bat with a plastic bat. It was very special for Virat because ever since Virat had the understanding of things, he held his bat and would start swinging it against the ball. This is Virat’s first memory of cricket.

Steve Smith too had a similar memory. Steve would go into the nets with his father and his father would bowl for him. Steve picked up a bat and he states that once he did, he never wanted to put it down. Playing every afternoon after school with his old man was his first cricket memory.
