The global outbreak of COVID-19 has wreaked havoc all over the world and developing countries are having a difficult time dealing with it and taking the right measures. This pandemic has brought in irreparable losses but the only great thing we are able to see is human concern beyond boundaries. People have been engaging in philanthropic work to help the underprivileged and to those in need. Last month, Harbhajan Singh and Yuvraj Singh had posted videos in support of the ‘Shahid Afridi Foundation’ which was raising funds for the underprivileged affected by COVID-19 pandemic in Pakistan.

However, Shahid Afridi went on to make some anti-India comments which angered the cricketers. Afridi accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of committing religious atrocities in India in a video that has gone viral on social media. These statements from Afridi didn’t go down well with the cricketers. An angry Harbhajan Singh called Shahid Afridi unworthy of his friendship, while Yuvraj Singh regretted his call for assistance to the Pakistani player’s charity. Meanwhile, another Indian cricketer Suresh Raina, who hails from Jammu and Kashmir, echoed Yuvraj and Harbhajan’s sentiments via a tweet. Cricketer like Shikhar Dhawan and Gautam Gambhir also gave a fitting reply to Shahid Afridi via twitter. Our beloved cricketers are always respectful and share a friendly relation with cricketers from other countries. But statements against the nation will certainly anger anybody.

Here is what the cricketers tweeted to express their displeasure, take a look.
