Gurpreet Bedi the talented actress who is known for her amazing portrayal of the role of Keerti Sachdeva in Colors’ Dharampatnii, has had a good body of work with projects Dil Hi Toh Hai, Qubool Hai 2.0, Paramavatar Shri Krishna Laut Aao Trisha etc. Gurpreet enjoys the spooky ambience of Halloween and is looking forward to having her best time today, 31 October on Halloween Day.

As we know, Halloween Day is celebrated, on the evening before All Saints’ Day (All Hallows’). The celebration marks the day before the Western Christian feast of All Saints and initiates the season of All Hallow Tide, which lasts for three days and concludes with All Souls’ Day. In today’s time, this Western special Day is celebrated in India as a time and moment when people dress up and visit other homes for a treat, with parties thrown with an eerie and spooky ambience too.

Talking about her favourite Halloween moment, Gurpreet tells us, ” A few years ago, I decided to go to a Halloween party at the very last minute. I didn’t have a costume ready, so thought about it for a bit and then quickly decided to wear a plaid skirt with a knotted white shirt, pulled up some knee-high socks and wore black shoes. I made two plaits to finish the look. Everyone at the party recognised I was Britney Spears from the famous song – ‘One More Time!’. Bang on! Not every costume needs to be scary.”

On her favourite dressing style for Halloween, Gurpreet shares, “I usually never stick to one. I’m a creative soul and I love making new things – jewellery, accessories, costumes etc. But specifically, I play a lot with my hair and makeup to make sure the whole look comes together. Every year should be a different experience I feel.”

Ask her, if given a chance what is the most spooky act you will do during a Halloween event?, and she is quick to tell us, “I remember I dared myself to watch The Exorcist all by myself on Halloween when I had gone to study abroad. There was this one particular scene where that blood-curdling entity comes down the stairs on all fours that too backwards! I screamed and switched off the TV. That’s something that I’d love to do in real life – with the help of Yoga of course 😄.”

On celebrating this occasion, the actor shares her thoughts, “They say the souls of the dead return to their homes on Halloween. As spooky as it sounds, I personally feel the departed souls are always around us. But dedicating one day towards this gives everyone a purpose. Both kids and adults equally participate and enjoy getting ready to celebrate this day. Just trick and treat your way through Halloween. It’s fun!”

Happy Halloween’s Day, folks!! Enjoy the spookiness that comes along with the moment!!
