Asmita Sood who plays the negative lead in Dangal's Janam Janam Ka Saath talks about her role and show.

My negative role in Janam Janam Ka Saath gives me more room to experiment: Asmita Sood

Actress Asmita Sood, is playing an out-and-out negative role in Dangal TV’s new show Janam Janam Ka Saath. She says she will be in a happy space if she starts to get hate messages from fans.

Asmita took up this negative role as part of an experimentation process. “My decision to turn into a baddie on screen was basically because I wanted to experiment with my abilities as an actor. It is not that I am not open to doing positive characters now, but I feel that doing a negative role gives me more leverage in terms of experimentation.”

On the show and her role, she states, “Janam Janam Ka Saath is basically about reincarnation. It’s a story of three characters who are tied to each other across different lifetimes. My character is in love with the protagonist. And she is sort of obsessed with him and can go to an extent to ensure that he is with her. She’s basically at an obsessive level and turns negative because she’s not getting what she wants.”

“According to me, the USP of the show is the fact that it spans across almost a century, that is at 200 years. Every actor in the show gets an opportunity to sort of display their acting and, of course, different kinds of looks across the two lifestyle lifetimes. So that’s a very interesting thing about the show,” she adds.

Best of luck, Asmita!!
