How excited are you to be a part of Ishq Mein Marjawan 2?

I am really excited as we have been working on the project for a long time now. We shot amazing sequences in Goa at the beginning of the year and later shot in Mumbai. It was more about the team I was working with. I was more excited to work with the team as I had started my career with them as I did a TV show Veera with them. I share a good relationship with them. I was glad that they called me on board. I opted for this role as it is a cop character which I have never done in my career and it is not a regular cop that you see on TV, it has a more grey side. Of course, he wants to be patriotic and wants to catch the bad guys but ultimately it’s about his passion.

Do you have any pressure as you are doing a sequel to a hit show?

There is no pressure, I never felt it. I know there was season 1 and it was a very good show. I had auditioned for Ishq Mein Marjawan season 1 also but it couldn’t work out. We are very happy with what we have shot so it is a good optimistic attitude that everyone is carrying on set.

Till what extreme can you go in love?

It is a very difficult question. I would say it depends. Well, I have seen people fighting with their family for their love. I have seen people leaving their homes. Honestly, if you ask me at this moment, I don’t think I can do it. I will strive towards getting everything together.

How is your rapport with your co-actors?

It was amazing. We all were working for the first time together so it was good to know each other. Helly (Shah) has been for a long time in the industry and she has a good amount of following. Rrahul (Sudhir) is relatively new but he has done a show and web series. All of us were in different phases of our career but we have been supportive of each other. We were very professional and focused during the shoot.

Are you scared of shooting during the COVID-19 pandemic?

After three months break, when we went on set there was nervous energy. All were wearing masks. Later, we got to know that we had a day off, hence we all had one more day to prepare mentally. However, when we got on a shoot a day later, we all were working comfortably. We have to take care of ourselves and we are doing it well.

How did you spend your quarantine time?

I slept a lot as I love sleeping. I read a lot of books. I practiced playing my guitar. I bought it long back but had no time to play. Initially, I was playing very bad. However, with time, I improved. This activity kept me together during the lockdown phase.

What is the biggest lesson that this industry has taught you over the years?

I think you learn every day here. In this industry you have to work hard as there is no other option, you have to go out of the way to get work, you have to kill your ego. It is a great industry and we are fortunate enough to get back to work as there are so many industries that are still on hold.

Any final message?

We have worked really hard on Ishq Mein Marjawan and it has been a tough year so finally, we are coming with the show so tune in and enjoy.
