Zee TV’s Main Hoon Aparajita produced by Bodhi Tree Productions follows the heartwarming journey of a doting mother of three daughters, who is preparing them for the roller coaster ride called life after her ex-husband Akshay finds love outside of the marriage and leaves them to their fate.
The story unfolds in Noida (Uttar Pradesh) where Aparajita (Shweta Tiwari) finds herself in a complicated marital relationship when her husband Akshay (Manav Gohil) falls in love with Mohini Singh (Shweta Gulati) and abandons her to raise their three daughters all by herself. Making matters worse, Mohini is on a mission to destroy Aparajita’s reputation, so that she can prove that she was always the right choice for Akshay. While Akshay and Mohini move on to build a family, Aparajita and her three children find themselves under the societal scanner on a regular basis. How Aparajita rises above it all and leads with a strong example for her daughters on how not just to survive but to thrive with courage, self-respect, and resilience is something you cannot miss in the show. The ensemble cast boasts of some of the most sought-after faces of the TV industry including Shweta Tiwari, Manav Gohil, Shweta Gulati, Anushka Merchande, Dhwani Gori, and Shruti Choudhary.
Main Hoon Aparajita is nothing out-of-the-box. The first episode does not offer anything new to the audience in terms of content. Although the concept fails to hook audiences, the performance of the experienced actors Shweta Tiwari and Manav Gohil does. The show has a talented bunch of actors who have been in the industry for a long time now, their remarkable performance makes the show look impressive. Shweta and Manav manage to hold the show with their acting chops. Having said this, it has begun on a good note but still needs the charm to garner more eyeballs.
