“This is one of New Zealand’s darkest days”, said the New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Arden!!
The shocking incident of a man dressed in military attire, with an automatic rifle in his hand, shooting down 40 people at two mosques in Christchurch has been a really disturbing incident.
However, seconds before the gunman unleashed his lethal firing, he is said to have said the words, “Remember lads, subscribe to PewDiePie”. He also livestreamed the attack on Facebook and recorded the 17-minute video of his brutal killing.
Hours later, PewDiePie, whose real name is Felix Kjelberg, the 29 years old YouTuber and comedian with nearly 90 million subscribers tweeted, saying, “I feel absolutely sickened having my name uttered by this person. My heart and thoughts go out to victims, families and everyone affected by this tragedy.”
Just heard news of the devastating reports from New Zealand Christchurch.
I feel absolutely sickened having my name uttered by this person.
My heart and thoughts go out to the victims, families and everyone affected by this tragedy.

For the uninitiated, PewDiePie is the same YouTuber who went on a war of words with TV Czarina Ekta Kapoor in May last year when he had allegedly commented on one of Ekta’s soaps, that it was of poor quality. Ekta had then hit back at him by calling him to be similar to a ‘junior artist’ whom she hires for her shows.
PewDiePie is now taken over by T-Series YouTube channel.
Well, we pray that peace and harmony prevails in Christchurch, New Zealand again!!
