The episode of Kundali Bhagya starts with the lawyer telling Karan that only Ruchika’s statement can prove Preeta’s innocence. The prosecutor says that Preeta and Kritika went to the hotel to delete the CCTV evidence. The manager had launched a complaint against them as well. The prosecutor says that this proves that Preeta Luthra killed Akshay. The judge is about sentence Preeta, Karan stands up and says that he killed Akshay. The whole family is shocked. The judge asks him to come and say what he wants in the witness box. Karan looks at Preeta and goes and stands in the box. He signals her to stop crying.
Karan says that he killed Akshay. Preeta asks him why is he saying that because they all know he is not the murderer. She tells the judge that Karan is lying in order to save her. Karan says that he is the murderer. Prithvi says that Preeta cannot even harm a fly, so she definitely didn’t kill Akshay. Mahira says that Karan is lying about killing Akshay. The judge tells everyone to settle down or they will be arrested in contempt of court. Preeta once again tries to explain that Karan is not the murderer. The judge warns her to not interrupt or she will face consequences.
Karan accepts that he killed Akshay. Kritika tries to explain that everything happened because of her. Karan says that she has nothing to do with it. After Kritika and Preeta went to the hotel and Preeta hit Akshay in self-defense he wasn’t dead. Kritika told him everything over a call. He says he got angry and went to meet Akshay and they got into an argument. He says he killed Akshay in anger. Preeta asks him why he is making up false stories. The judge announces that the murder charges on Preeta will be dropped and she is relieved. He tells police to lodge a new case against Karan and investigate him.
The police go and handcuff Karan. Preeta runs towards Karan. The police stop her but she forcefully breaks through and hugs him. They pull Preeta and take Karan towards the police van. Preeta comes running behind them and asks them to not arrest him as he is innocent. Karan tells her to calm down. She says even when they are innocent why do they have to be in jail while the real murderer roams freely. She says she won’t be able to live without him. Karan seeing her shattered hugs her.
